Researchers have found a brain receptor responsible for moderating aggression, and a pill to do just this could be in the works.
By instigating stressful events, they managed to produce mice with characteristics consistent to pathological rage. By blocking the identified brain receptor, these hostile mice were able to calm down.
Here’s an interesting conclusion that the lead author of the study is making-
"Whatever the ways environment can persistently affect behavior - and even personality over the long term - behavior is ultimately supported by biological mechanisms."
